Personal Statement
I began playing golf at an early age. I have played both hockey and baseball at a high level in addition to playing golf. I continue to play high school hockey, do well and enjoy it, but golf is my sports passion. I have learned life skills through athletic experiences. Sports teach me about setting goals and working hard to achieve them. I believe I would be an asset to your team. I am hard working, motivated and passionate about golf. I love competing and hate to lose. I have goals for myself which I believe are achievable. Many are in golf, and others have to do with life outside of golf. In golf, I aspire to play college golf at an elite level, and go on to play professionally. Outside of golf, I desire success, whether in the business world or whatever best suits me.
My father, Adam Anderson, is my role model. He played golf at the University of Michigan and is successful in the business world. My parents have taught me the importance of doing my best in sports and in school. Playing other sports enhances my golf game. Hockey taught me leadership, commitment, and accountability. This summer, in golf, I'm working to excel from inside 130 yards.
I enjoy growing the game of golf through my work with local junior golf programs. I will continue to encourage junior golf through volunteering my time and talents.
