Personal Statement

My long term aspiration has been to play golf at the college level. At your school, I will successfully complete my studies in Finance so I can one day start my career with a national corporation. When I graduate in 2016, I will have had the opportunity to play four years (4) of varsity golf at a Nebraska Class A school, contribute scores to team titles and train under nationally ranked coaches all in which have been amazing experiences. I'm looking for a school that will help me academically and athletically accomplish my goals and prepare me for my professional career. I have the talent, commitment and confidence to compete on a college team.

I'm a leader among my peers; dynamic in multiple aspects of the game, and understand that my career in golf is a marathon. I pride myself on always remaining coachable and being a competitive threat when matched up.

I demonstrate great character when it comes to academics, personal relations and course management.

Day 2 was much better, off to a good start and cleaned up play from day 1. I experienced 1 bad hole that dropped me 8 places. I was very disappointed, only 1 birdie in two days of play. 76-77. Off the tee box in tight fairways and 2nd shots were spot on. I didnt let myself get rattled and parring out proved to be good choice.

Our team came together today but fell one stroke short of a district championship. We finished 2nd with 319. I finished T4 shooting 38-38. My amazing play of the day was a 389 par 4 over water. I topped the ball rolling it just past the red tees. Now I'm 232 yds out and shooting over water. My second shot I used a 3W and knocked my ball 4ft from the cup and birdied! Overall, this wasn't too shabby for 40 degrees and moderate to heavy drizzle all day. Millard North advances to the Nebraska State Tourney!

Best day we've had so far all Spring. I hit 10 fairways, 29 putts and 3 birds with 1 bogey on front and back. I had an unfortunate lie on 16 where I had to play an unplayable shot best I could resulting in a double. Overall, I kept a pretty clean card and secured 6th place out of 80 golfers. My drives were decent, irons were solid and left 4 birds out there at or under 4ft each. My team finished 1st.

The course is a par 72 that played 7169 yards. I tied for 10th shooting an 42-39, 81. I wasn't hitting greens like I wanted however, I carded an eagle on a par 5. This was a 529 yd par 5. I put my second shot 40 yd off the green. My chip had two bounces and a tender roll then dropped into the cup.

This was an 18 hole competition with 50 competitors. The course slope 73.3/125 was an interesting challenge as we encountered 25+ mph winds the entire day. I hit 14 fairways, 16 greens and had 30 putts.
