Casey Torname '18 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Casey Torname and I am a junior three sport athlete at Salem High School (New Hampshire). I have been playing on the varsity golf team since my freshman year. I have only been playing golf consistently for 2 and a half years and I have worked my way down to a 7 handicap. Last year, my sophomore year I won the MVP trophy for my team, and do to my performance throughout the year I earned a spot at individual states, but gave it up to a senior captain on my team. This year I lead my team all the way to a positive record and was in contention for team states. Unfortunately, we just missed. I earned the MVP trophy again, and also qualified to go to states and represented our team.

My goal is to get the best education as possible, and I'm hoping golf can help me achieve that. I have competed in NHGA tournaments this summer which have helped me become a better player. After my freshman year the team lost 5 seniors and I feared not having enough kids for a team. I immediately got together a bunch of friends from my varsity lacrosse team and convinced them to give it a shot. By playing with them everyday it helped me develop leadership characteristics.

Academically wise I plan on and will improve my GPA and be all around a better student.  

I am open to many different options college wise and would be very happy to compete at the collegiate level to represent my school. Thank you for taking your time and reading this,I look forward to talking to you!
