Personal Statement
I am a 5' 10" Senior junior golfer from Burlington New Jersey, I am graduating in June 2015. I am the 2015 captain of my High School Golf Team. I love to play the game of golf and my dream is to play NCAA I/II/III or NAIA college golf at a very competitive level. I started playing golf at the age of 4 and I have thirteen years of tournament competition playing experience.
I have won many tournaments. My past three years of high school golf have helped me greatly to learn and better understand the importance of balancing athletics with academics. Often during the golf season, I arrive home many nights after 7:00 p.m. from practice or competitive matches. Thus, giving me limited time to study. This has required me to make efficient use of my free time and study hall periods during the school day. I have also conditioned myself to study during down time or when riding to and from tournaments. Further, having a study partner has helped me as well.
Ideally, I would like to attend a college or university were the climate is warm during the winter months which will enable me to practice and play competitive golf year round. I am open to exploring opportunities at all division level schools. I am looking for a college or university where I can pursue and obtain a degree in the field of Aviation Management and/or Air Traffic Management.
I welcome the chance to attend a university/college were I can contribute to the overall campus diversity and golf team. My goal is to make an immediate positive and winning impact. I would describe my work ethic as the type of teammate who is the first to arrive at practice and the last one to leave.
I am currently a member of AJGA, IJGT, IMG Junior Tour, and Philadelphia Junior PGA Tour. I am working toward build and improving upon my Amateur and Junior Golf national ranking status on Polo Golf Ranking, Golfweek, and JGS.
