Personal Statement
Making to the State Tournament my sophomore year was the highlight of my season. But leaving it without a trophy is what made it an obsession to try to perfect the game of failure. The thrill of competing at the top level in a sport is a thrill that you cannot find anywhere else it is that feeling that drives me to become a better athlete and player everyday. The characteristic of a leader are personality traits I try to improve everyday and competing with the team is what brings those characteristics out of me. I fell in love with the game of a golf at a young age I realized that out of the three sports I play, the passion I had for golf was different. Competing at a high level at a young age taught me to be mentally strong and fueled my work ethic of being the best player I can possibly be. Everyday I wake up with the attitude to become better and every time I show up to the course I show up to win. Growing up in a small town has brought out an underdog attitude and has shown me that you have to work hard to prove that you have what it takes to compete with the best.
Academics have been stressed as an important part of my life since I was young. Having a good attitude, showing up to class, and working hard in the the classroom is something I personally stress. Being outgoing and willing to talk to everyone is what makes me who I am in the classroom and what makes me who I am as a person. I pride myself on being a good student and a good person to have in the classroom that is willing to help others when in need and be the person that puts a smile other faces.
I know I can help your team by bringing the attitude of trying to be the best and be a leader that helps others improve around me. I am a leader but can listen to my elders and take advice that makes me better. With my work ethic, leaderships, and talents, I not only fit into your program but can make an impact that will push your team to be the best, but also further team success.
