Personal Statement
Throughout my college years, I hope to achieve several goals. First, to find a school that creates a second home experience for me. My grades are extremely important to me as well as being involved. Secondly, I want to become a better golfer. I desire to acquire a better knowledge of the sport. I love the game itself and am willing to put in hours of practicing and training. I'm also looking for a coach that can take me to that next level of playing a collegiate sport. I look forward to having a coach that can help me with my short game and my mental game. These goals will help me fulfill my expectations of my college experience and making it rewarding.
I am a good candidate for collegiate golf because I have a positive attitude on and off the golf course. I am very outgoing, friendly and get along with almost anyone. I enjoy meeting new people and making them my friends. I am the guy who always goes the extra mile to help someone out. That is a positive quality that I bring to my team.
Recently my scores haven't been the greatest due to the fact that I have been working hard with my swing coach to get my swing where it needs to be. Although this is a sacrifice to my scores, it will pay off in the long run when my swing comes together completely. I will work extremely hard to make myself ready for this years up and coming tournaments to assure myself of doing well. I am extremely devoted to succeeding and doing well. Therefore, I won't stop working until I get my game where I think it needs to be.
I am different from other recruits because I am never one to give up. I don't stop putting in the work until the job is done. I am always happy and never let a bad shot get into my head. I'm always looking on the bright side of things and how I can learn from my mistakes. I am dedicated to my game on and off the course. In conclusion, I think I would be a great addition to your golf team in 2016.
