Personal Statement
As a confident 16 year old, I have set very high goals for myself. I began to realize that I could reach my goals with hard work and determination. In the summer of 2011, I was -7 through 15 holes and ended up shooting a -6, 67 to win a Philadelphia Junior Tour Event. This past summer, I won The Jock Mackenzie Memorial for the Golf Association of Philadelphia shooting a -2, 70 in a playoff. As a result of this win, I qualified to play in The Williamson Cup, a prestigious nationwide junior team event in August 2012.
I intend to play in AJGA's and IJGT's this upcoming spring and summer. I also plan to qualify for the 2013 U.S. Open at Merion this spring. It is also a very important goal of mine to play collegiate golf, be the best player on my team, and win tournaments.
I want to receive an outstanding education while playing golf at a school that fits me academically and skill-wise. On and off the golf course, I want to be a role model and a source of help and inspiration to others. Most importantly, I want to succeed in life doing what i love to do; playing golf. Ever since I was a young kid, I have had big dreams, and still do to this day. I dream of being the next Tiger Woods or Rory Mcilroy. I want to play on the PGA tour, win Majors, and be known as one of the greats of the game. If I can dream it and work hard, I know I can do it.
