Keaton Scroggins '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Keaton Scroggins and I am 17 years old.  I was born in Houston, Texas and am the first of three children in my family.  If I had to describe myself and what has made me successful in tackling life and the efforts and activities associated with it, I would begin with my strong work ethic.    I pride myself on being prepared and organized.  As I face adversity, I am able to persevere.  I consistently remind myself that there are others around me that can provide me guidance to make me stronger and better regardless of the circumstances.    I consider myself to be goal oriented and always focus on my long term plan.  As I have applied these characteristics to my scholastic career, it has allowed me to remain in the top percentile while participating in the most challenging classes.  I take advantage of all resources to ensure I remain a leader.  In the same circumstance, I continue to apply resources to improve my golf game.  I have been playing golf four short years.  I am a scratch golfer at my local golf club.  I am consistently top 5 in the tournaments I play in.  I am the number one golfer on my high school 5A team.  I know I have more potential but need stronger horsepower from a coaching standpoint.  Let me be clear, I am not blaming or making excuses around current coaching and guidance I have received, for it has made me a scratch golfer.  I am looking for the right team and the right coach to mold me and take me to the next level.  Great moments and great people are born from great opportunities.  I simply want the opportunity to align myself with a coach and team to take me to the next level.
