Personal Statement

I will always work hard to prove that I will be the best. No matter what I will always accept what happens good or bad, and move on from it. I believe that my game continues to improve, and with a great and helpful coach I believe I can become an even better player than I am now. You will not be disappointed in recruiting me for your golf program. I love communicating and making relationships with people, and intend to do this with my future coach and teammates. In school, I work hard and maintain an above average GPA. Grades always come first because without good grades there will be no golf. I know that I need to keep my grades up in order to do the things I love, and also help me to get in a great college. I am a good candidate for your golf program because I know that I can give the team a great aspect of scoring, but I also believe I will help the team become better men. I am a good leader that has confidence in my teammates ability to play golf, but most importantly I have the confidence in myself to play golf.  I believe that I am different from other recruits because my love for the game. When I started playing in middle school, I knew that I wanted to play college golf, and even beyond that. All I want to do is golf, and want to practice golf to get better. I will continue to improve and this is why I am a good candidate for your team.

Events

  • Camp/Event
  • TSSAA A-AA State Tournament
  • 10/13/15 to 10/14/15
  • Did not play well the first day shooting 81. Could not get any putts to fall. I was T30 after the first day, and came back strong the second day with a 75. Unfortunately, on the last 3 holes for 2 total days I was +8. These holes were playing very tough, but overall I wasn't happy about the first day and ended with a Top 20 finish.
  • Camp/Event
  • High School A-AA Region Tournament
  • 10/01/15 to 10/01/15
  • Shot 69(-2) and won the Region A-AA Tournament. Conditions were very tough with winds 10-15 mph consistently and temperatures in the 50's. I managed to have 6 birdies and 1 eagle on the round. Unforunately I accidentally hit my ball in the fairway and called a penalty on myself. I ended up with a double bogey on the hole. I was very happy about the round and win.
  • Camp/Event
  • HIgh School A-AA District Tournament

  • Shot 72(+1). Placing 1st of at least 50. Hit 14/18 greens and had 4 total birdies. Over 6,400 yards. After the round, my good friend from another team got DQ for signing for a lower score. He actually shot a 71 and beat me by a stroke until his DQ. When I found this out, I couldn't accept the fact that I won when I really didn't, I only did on paper. So I ended up giving my metal to my good friend because he deserved it and he beat me fair and square.
