My collegiate goals and aspirations:
It has always been a goal of mine to be able to play college golf. I love the game so much, and for it to just be over after High School would be heart-rending. Aside from Varsity Athletics, I would push my self to the limits with my schooling as I always have. As my High School coach would always say, "You are a student-athlete, student first, and athlete second." I agree, as education is one of the most important things in life, next to golf of course.
What makes me a good candidate for their team?
In golf, and even life in general, I am a firm believer that attitude is everything. If you cannot stay level-headed through the entire round it is going to be rough. For me anyways, there are days when you cannot miss. Every shot is crisp, and every putt is falling. These are the days when it is easy to stay level headed, and the days when under-par rounds are of no trouble. Then there are days when the putts are not falling, and you are not hitting it tight to every pin. These are the days when you are forced to grind. As many of my golf mentors in the past have always told me, I have to grind it out. Not only are you hurting yourself by letting bad shots get to you, you are hurting your team. I will never give up on myself, and I will for damn sure never give up on my team. If you never give up, and keep grinding through the entire round, I have always been able to save a manageable score to keep my team in it. I also believe that these are the types of rounds that defy a player, and with that being said, I think I would be a perfect fit to any golf squad willing to give me an opportunity.
