Personal Statement
I have been playing golf for three years and I have loved it ever since I started playing. I really started to get serious about golf after my Sophomore year in high school when my brothers both left for the Navy and the Air Force Academy. They really inspired me to try my best and told me that I can achieve anything I put my mind to and work hard for. I would go out to the golf course everyday in the summer and practice for nine hours a day. To me, golf never gets old, I would come home after spending my whole day at the golf course and already wish I was back on the range or the chipping/putting green getting better. That's just the way I feel about golf and the mentality I have about playing. One thing I realized during this summer was that playing at the collegiate level was something I am very interested in. Not only would I get the chance to improve my golf game, I will also have teammates that have the same mentality about getting better and trying their best, which in my opinion is a necessity if you are trying to improve your performance in anything you do. I have taken advanced and AP classes throughout high school and my main academic goal is to graduate with a GPA of 3.8 or higher and get into a college that fits me well and will really focus on bettering my education and my life. I plan on getting a doctorate degree for veterinary science for large and small animals.
