My collegiate goals as a golfer are to continue to improve my game and become more competitive. I would like to play golf professionally and the experience and coaching as well as continued competition will help me get there.
I would be an asset to anyone's golf team because I am a hard worker and dedicated to improving my technique and my game. During practice I work hard, am focused and determined on the goals set for myself as an individual as well as the team.
Unlike many others I didn't start golfing at as young of an age. I started golfing in 8th grade and made the Junior Varsity team at my High School as a freshmen. With the focused coaching and hard work I saw results quickly and my scores began dropping. By mid season I had moved up the roster to the bubble spot on the team. By the end of the season I was participating in Varsity matches. Overall I dropped 16 strokes off my average for the season. In my Sophomore year I made the Varsity squad and continued to improve. By the end of the season I had been promoted to 4th spot on the team dropping another 14 strokes off my average. That summer I competed in the North Bellingham Amateur Tournament achieving the Low Net score of the field on the first day. In my Junior year I returned to my 4th spot on the Varsity squad and moved my way into second spot by the end of the season. I achieved a season low score of 77 and again dropped 7 strokes off my average. In addition I qualified personally for the Northwest Conference 2A District tournament where I competed both days only missing the cut to the State Tournament by 2 strokes.
I am looking forward to my senior season where I will continue to work hard to improve my game and maintain my position on the squad.
