My main goal for college is to go somewhere that provides a great education with a wide range of majors, but also has a competitive men's golf team. I maintain a 3.39 cumulative GPA while taking classes that are one and two years advanced from my grade level. I hope to attend medical school or law school after college, so it is essential for me to find a school that can prepare me for these. My commitment to the game of golf is unmatched. Everyday I make an effort to work on some part of my game, whether it's chipping and pitching in my yard to a flag, or playing 36 holes. I have only been playing competitive golf for about two years. I started out shooting in the hundreds and a year later, I was shooting in the high seventies and low eighties. Since then, I've grown not just as a player, but also as a person. My scoring average has dropped to about 76.9. Golf has also instilled an unparalelled persistence and motivation to be the best that I can. If I have a bad round, I stay after and work with cameras and peers to identify the issue(s) and figure out a way to solve them. I am at the course almost everyday and if I can't find room to play, I make sure to practice my short game extensively, as well as my long game. My ambition and expectation of perfection are two things that set me apart not in their uniqueness, but in the magnitude and impact they have on my life and my golf game.
