Personal Statement
I have been playing tier hockey for 7 years and played up an age group for several years. I have an incredibly strong work ethic, an intense desire to win and never give up. My strengths are quickness, tracking the puck and controlling rebounds. After having played in the NAPHL for 2 seasons and after considering options for the 2013-14 and again for the 2014-15 seasons, I opted to play for the KC Mavs Elite 18AAA (formerly Russell Stover) in the Tier 1 Elite League. This required that I move away from home to live in Kansas City MO. For the 2012-13 season, I decided to play for the Jr. Ducks 16 AAA, despite being a Los Angeles Kings fan. I am a committed student and graduated HS in June 2014 with a 3.8/4.0 GPA. I am taking 2 college courses per semester at UMKC to stay current academically. I hope to major in business, finance or economics in college, and I want to play high level hockey at either a Division I or Division III school. Size and geography are not as important as being given an opportunity to compete. When time permits, I skate with special needs children and adults that are learning to play hockey, and I also instruct young goalies in the summer for Jamie Storr's goalie school.
