Ever since I first started playing hockey, I have been taught that mental toughness, leadership, and having a harder work ethic than anyone else around you will lead you to success. Last year, these mottos I have modeled my game after were put to the ultimate test. In April of 2016, I suffered an injury and there was a chance I may never play hockey again, something very difficult for any athlete to hear. Lucky for me, I was fully recovered by June of 2016, and have trained like a madman since, appreciating how lucky I am to play the game.
I naturally assume a leadership role in every circumstance, and I am a positive influence to my teammates around me. I am constantly pushing myself and, as a result, those around me follow my lead and push themselves further. I am a speedy and dynamic forward who can play both sides of the puck. My best attributes as a player are my grit, speed, shot, and coach ability. My goal in college is to play Division I or Division 3 hockey. I separate myself from other recruits through my ability to give all I have every practice, game, workout, test, etc. Anything I face, I give 100% of my attention and work as hard as possible to get the job done.
