Personal Statement
I am Luke Gosnell and I live in Breckenridge, Colorado. I've played defense for the Colorado Springs Tigers U18AAA for the last two years. Prior to that I played for the Breckenridge Bolts of the RMJHL (Tier 3 Junior). I played for Summit High School the 2016-1017 season. As a freshman I was one of the starting defenseman and was awarded Rookie of the Year. For the 2017-2018 year I was awarded the MVP as a sophomore. For four years I played for Colorado Evolution at the AAA level. Two years ago I played center for the U14 Colorado Evolution AAA team. I decided to play high school hockey because I wanted to play with my friends. My grandfather was a starting center (football) for the University of Michigan and was drafted by the New York Jets. My other grandfather played college football for VMI. My great-grandfather lettered in 4 sports for Princeton and my other great-grandfather was the first person to wear the #1 for Michigan (Paul Goebel). I'd like to either be a doctor or an engineer. I'm interested in history, politics, geography, science and math. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and plan on maintaining my commitment to academics and athletics. Both my parents are college graduates and have been instrumental in showing me the importance of a consistent commitment to myself through education and athletics.
