Personal Statement
The ability to win and focus at critical times has always been what separates me from other players. My name is Jonah Capriotti my goal is to study at a Division 1 school while being able to play hockey and earn a degree in Science-Biology. I want to go to a school that is focused on academics which provides a challenging learning environment. I would like to use this time to develop and possibly transition to a professional hockey career while creating a scholastic foundation for my future. Ultimately I would love to play professionally. I was drafted to the Kitchener Rangers in the 2014 OHL entry draft. I have been fortunate to play on a top ten team in Canada. I have been able win at every level including Provincial and tournament championships. Personally I have been able to perform and contribute to this success as well as maintain a 92% average in my academic studies at the same time. I have a winning track record and consistently been one of the most successful goalies in my age group in Ontario. I am a great skater and I play the puck with confidence. I am attending Salisbury Prep school in Connecticut which will give me some experience playing at a high level away from home and also allow me to keep a focus on my academic future.
