They say that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger; I can attest to that. Throughout my career I have pushed myself to be the best that I can be, and up until last season, that just wasn't enough to achieve victories. Then, all that hard work and pain from dismal season after dismal season finally paid off; I secured the starting spot on the Atlanta Knights U16 Elite team (AAA tournament, AA ranking). Now, I play for the Atlanta Knights Junior Empire (USPHL), and I've decided that the only place that I have to go is up. I realize that this quality is what separates me from the majority of my teammates and my competition; I believe that I will play NCAA hockey, and that belief drives me every single day to work my hardest and excel on the ice, in the classroom, and at the gym. I want to be the greatest hockey player, student, and person that I can be, and I won't settle for anything less than my best.
