Dear Coaches,
My name is Yuri Davis-Martel.
I am a respectful, trustworthy, disciplined, dedicated and autonomous person. I have been studying at the Iowa Christian Academy in Des Moines, IA since I moved from Canada in August 2015. I graduated in 2017 and moved to BC where I am playing in the BCHL for the Cowinchan Capital.
I am a good student. My average grades are above 90%. Highly motivated, I am not afraid to work several hours at night to perform at school. My favorite classes are Maths and Computers. I have a very good relationship with my teachers and my peers.
I am fond of ice hockey. I am a 6 foot and 190-pound defenseman. I shoot left. I describe myself as a smart and very physical player with a good hockey sense in a high pace game. My coaches have played me in both power play and penalty killing’s first units. I like taking responsibilities. I love off-ice training as well. At the last USHL Combine, I realized the best lap at speed test while finishing second in the long jump and in the top 30 of all other physical test. My ultimate goal is to play NCAA hockey and one day be a NHL player.
Should you require more specific information, do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you very much for your attention to this matter and I hope to hear from you soon.
Best regards,
YURI DAVIS-MARTEL, Tough and Skill Hockey player
