Since the age of three I have been on the ice. Learning to skate in figure skating programs for 6 years really helped my fundamentals because it gave me an excellent foundation when I decided to be a goalie at age 9. Inspired by Nikolai Khabibulin, I wanted to be a phenomenal goalie. After years and years of playing I believe I have real potential and skill to play on a college level team. Not only, though, do I help myself skating, I also help others. For the last 4 years I have been volunteering my time in the summers at the Chicago Blackhawks hockey camps. I love helping little goalie achieve their dreams because I was one in those camps myself and remember how influential the goalie instructors were. My parent always told me to be a man of character and integrity, and every day I strive to do so by working hard in school and working to help others. I always try to make other people happy because it makes me feel good to know I helped someone out. I strive to be a standout college goalie and most importantly a great scholar so that I can go on to work in a great field of business and raise a family. I really love hockey and I can not see myself playing anything else because the ice is my second home.
