Personal Statement
I am a middle-sized goaltender who does a good job sealing off the ice and controlling the outcome of the game through timely saves, puck advancement, and being vocal. It is my goal in every game to keep the team I play for in a position to win the game.
It has always been a goal of mine to play the game at the NCAA level. As such, I have prepared myself to reach this goal both on and off the ice. In the classroom, I amassed a cumulative GPA of 4.25 while also scoring a 1940 on the SAT and a 28 on the ACT. I also took several AP courses, scoring the highest on calculus.
I believe that I have all the qualities necessary, both in the classroom and on the ice, to make a big difference on an NCAA team in the future. I have the skill set, I have the grades, and I have the character to do so, having spent several years living away from home, playing different levels of competitive hockey, and finding a way to win at each of the levels I have played.
