Jose' Cata '16 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches,
      My name is José Cata and I am 16 yrs old going to be a senior this fall. I am a honor roll student with A’s and B’s and a career; adjusted GPA of 3.8.  Also I am a part of the student honor society, later this year I will be accepting a medal in Washington, D.C. for NATIONAL ACADEMY OF YOUTH LEADERSHIP AWARD OF EXCELLENCE. I do my best to stay focused and dedicated to my schoolwork just as much as I do on my hockey career. I am a discipline person, a team player that work on the perfection. Not to say I don’t have my down falls but when I do I get right back and keep pushing for excellence in and outside the rink. 
      Other than my academics I have many dreams and many aspirations but there is only one the has always stayed with me since I was a little kid, the desire to play college hockey. I know you might get that a lot, and that is understandable, but when I’m on the ice trying to play the best I can, I do not stop doing what I do best and that’s giving a great effort for the coaches and being a great teammate to the players. No matter the situation, down by one last minute of play or up by two with 30 seconds left, I keep moving my feet and I play my game and give 110% until that last buzzer goes off. Furthermore, hockey is not just a game but a life style and the only way I can live out this lifestyle and get to the next level  is through college hockey. It might be a long way and a lot of work but that's what I am looking forward to the most. The hard work, being able to push myself, being able to say I made it will be done. I am a dream chaser, a fighter, not a quitter. As me being a part of your organization, you won't ever feel regretful,I promise you.
