Personal Statement

Never give up would be my motto. I learned about hockey from my Dad who was raised and grew up playing in Minnesota but I grew up in the southwest and began playing roller hockey and fell in love with the game, then made the move to the ice and have never looked back. The experience of having to seek out coaches and opportunity where hockey was a niche sport gives me motivation. I learned the “never say die” attitude from my Dad who is an Army combat vet, this also reinforced how valuable the team and your "brothers" are.  I have the drive and desire to accomplish anything, working hard and being a sponge with my coaches I improved and grew rapidly and within 2 years of starting ice hockey while a U16 I was sought out and started to practice and train with the local Junior hockey team in Las Vegas then moved on to other Junior teams.

These experiences are my foundation and give me my drive and focus. My goal is to continue my education while playing hockey and then a future career in law enforcement  I have learned to set the example and live to be a great teammate and value honor, commitment, sacrifice and hard work. I love learning the game and attend and work out with many goalie coaches, players and others who love the game.  I volunteer and help youth teams, Try Hockey Days and want younger kids to learn, love the game and experience the brotherhood of a team and love it as much as I do. I believe I have the skills, leadership qualities and character to be a positive force on any team.
