Hello, My name is Ryall Purdy. I am 20 years old and trying to further my career in hockey and schooling. Playing Junior hockey has helped me mature as a goaltender and as a person. I train everyday all year doing things such as lifting weights, training hand eye coordination with tennis balls, doing movement drills in the crease, climbing mountains, and kayaking all over lake superior. My dream is to play competitive college hockey and earn a degree at the same time. After college I will pursue a professional career in hockey.
Growing up I have never had an easy road to success, But I never give up. I have played hockey at many levels from Youth to Junior and I cannot wait to experience the College level. I am 6’5” and I have trained for many years to play like a goalie who is 6’5”. Attending camps taught by Rob Stauber, Jamie Phillips, and Chris Dyson has helped me expand my knowledge and learn as much as possible about goaltending. On the ice and off the ice I am a leader whether it's in the weight room leading a team workout or instructing a mite clinic with kids and explaining drills, I have always enjoyed the role and taken pride in being a leader.
Junior Hockey has been one of the best times of my life and has allowed me to perform at a high level and give back to the community at the same time. Signing autographs for kids and seeing them smile as you know you've made their whole day is an amazing feeling. Being the hardest worker on the ice has given me the tools to become a better person and keep pucks out of the net. I am always training my mind and I can confidently say that I am able to fit into any hockey program and adapt, learn and excel. I am so excited to make the next step into college and dominate in the classroom and on the ice.
