Daniel Davis '18 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a Senior in HS. I have a great desire to see how far I can go and what I can achieve in Hockey. I currently play for the NA3HL Junior A Bozeman Icedogs. This is my second year to play for this team. My sophomore year in HS, I practiced with them 2-3 days a week while I played HS hockey.  During that year, we won the Montana HS State Tournament and went to USAH HS combined nationals, finishing in the top 8.  Prior to that season, I played HS in addition to playing on the Montana '99 Thunderblades Tier II AA Hockey Team.  We were the only Tier II team at our age group in the state of Montana.  We won the USA Hockey National Championship in our Division in 2014 at the 14U level and returned in 2015 to place 2nd in the 16U level. It was a great thrill! I also participated in Team Northwest AAA Hockey for 2 summers in Duluth, MN as well as have attended other camps to include Burggraf skating for 5 years.  I realize that I am still learning and growing in this sport and I welcome new challenges and opportunities to improve. I strive to maintain a high GPA, currently 3.83, and realize the benefits of doing well in school beyond just wanting to play college hockey. My Grandpa played college baseball and basketball and both of my Aunts played college basketball. My Mom went to college on an academic scholarship and is a physical therapist. My Dad was a sniper in the Marine Corps and is now an airline pilot.  I am currently interested in pursuing a degree in engineering/aerospace but also have an interest in finance/banking. I do know that I will attend college and I would LOVE to play HOCKEY while doing so.  Thanks for your consideration.
