Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to view my profile. I am a driven and committed student, teammate, son, brother, and friend. Making it to the NHL is my dream, and being considered to be a part of a collegiate team would be an honor as well. Since I was five, I have been told that I have "true hockey sense." Having the passion and love for the game is something that was embedded in me from young. Because of my size, I have the ability to take up the net, and am also quick to get down and up in position, and follow direction extremely well.
I considered it an honor to have played up, on the U18AA under Carter Lee, the coach for Brick Hockey Club, and to have clinched the Title of NJYHL State Champions. Ending the season with a personal record of 21 straight wins, and 8 shutouts. I was at 9.39 saves percentage, with 311 saves against me. I am looking forward to going to NATIONALS with these boys in Michigan, April 2017.
Last year, my sophomore year, was also an incredible year for my Jackson Memorial HS team. Winning the A-South division Title was a first in our school's history. And this year, we clenched the Shore Conference - Handchen Cup Championship, for the first time in the history of our school ice hockey program. . I know this year will continue to be an incredible year of growth for me as a goalie, physically, as well as mentally, and look forward to next couple years to come, with my high school teams, as well as my travel teams.
With all this said, I pride myself in being and all around student and high school athlete. My freshman year, I was highly recognized in Lacrosse and Football. I am constantly trying to do my best, and put all my efforts into being a true team player. I proved to myself my ability to play on several different teams, while still keeping a commitment to my grades and school work, and my grades reflect that.
I am also proud to have headed up a fund raiser last year for our local Veterans of the United States, in Jackson NJ. It can be found on Facebook under "Saves For Our Veterans". For each save I made, people have pledged donations to our Veterans. Last year I was able to raise $1030.00. This year it has grown tremendously after hitting the news papers, and I was able to raise over $5500.00 this season, and will heading up a special fundraiser with members of the NHL in March. 100% of the proceeds will go to my hometown heroes. It's the least that I can do to pay them back for their service to our country.
I work hard to be a true leader in school. I am not afraid to try new things, or join new clubs or organizations. I have a true passion for learning daily. My current GPA is 3.6, and am a proud member of the Junior Airforce ROTC program. I welcome all feedback, and look forward to hearing from all of you.
