Personal Statement
Besides Justin being an honor role student, Justin is focused on playing ice hockey and works extremely hard at being the best that he can be. Justin is 16 and plays goalie for the NJ Freeze, Justin also stepped up into the starting Varsity Goalie role for his high school, Playing every minute of every game, as a freshman, leading his team to a 12-8-2 record. Justin has played the goalie position since he was 6 years old and practices several nights a week with his team and his private goalie coaches. He is an extremely dedicated individual and is often asked to fill in for other teams without thinking twice about it. He is passionate about the game and dedicates his time to any task at hand. When Justin is not playing goalie, he spends his free time at the rinks refereeing Mites, Squirts and Peewee games.
Justin was awarded Rookie of the year, as a freshman, for his high school Varsity hockey team, as mentioned earlier, stepping up to play every minute of every varsity hockey game this year. In 2018 as a sophomore, Justin reached the 1,000 saves mark. Justin was also chosen as the Morris County Haas Division Team 1 All-Star Conference goalie, as well as being award the Coach’s Award, dedication and team first attitude, for his high school team
