Dear Prospective Coach:
My name is Tripp Clarke, I am a 5'10, 165 lb Ice Hockey Goalie from Upstate New York. I have been playing hockey since I was five years old, my father taught me to skate, and I have loved it ever since. I have been working diligently to improve my game and continually set the bar high for myself. In 2016-17 season I played at the AAA 16U level with the Syracuse Stars as their starting goaltender.
I have been selected and participated in USA hockey's 14U and 15U, and 16U State Development camps and I was chosen as an alternate for the 2016 National Development Team. My goals are to play Division 1 college hockey and I take my academics just as seriously as my athletics. I have achieved honor roll every semester I have been in high school. I earned my varsity letter as a freshman, playing on the varsity hockey team and I am a three sport athlete. I participate in soccer, hockey and baseball. This spring I have been elected as a captain of my JV baseball team.
I am interested in pursuing a career in criminal justice, I am drawn to this because I believe in giving back to the community. I have also completed all of the community service hours needed to graduate from my current high school. I am a mentor to younger goalies in our club, I am also a baseball umpire and a soccer referee. I believe in being a strong leader for my community and my team. As a goaltender my team relies on me to be their anchor and to stay calm and cool in sometimes volatile situations.
My work ethic is paying off and I will continue to work with my goalie coach and team to reach my goals. I look forward to speaking with you and learning more about how I would fit into your program.
Thanks for the opportunity!
