Aiden Boehm '17 Recruiting Profile

I come from a family who has made numerous sacrifices for me in the name of hockey. They support me, encourage me, and make sacrifices for me because of my dedication and commitment to the game both on and off the ice. I mention and explain my family first because they are the driving force behind my motivation just as much as I am self-motivated to be the best player I can be. As an ice hockey player, I believe that working 110% both on and off the ice is crucial to my success. Academically, that same philosophy holds true for my work both in and out of the classroom. Commitment, dedication, hard-work, and perseverance equal success. Playing Division 1 hockey is my ultimate goal. Of course, playing in the NHL is my dream but, playing Division 1 college hockey is where my sights are set right now. I truly believe that if I continue to work hard, play hard, and commit myself to be the best player I can be, I will achieve my goal. It's non-negotiable. I have learned so much from ice hockey. I have learned about the game but I have also learned so many lessons that I can use in other aspects of my life. I have learned how to be a better winner and a better loser. I have learned how to face adversity and challenges and overcome them. I have learned how to be a better team player and how to play better with a team. I have learned a lot about myself.  I have learned how much I love the game and how important it is that I prove to both myself and my family that all my hard work and sacrifice will pay off in the end.
