Personal Statement
My main goals for college are to achieve the major of my choice, Sports or Business Management or Mechanical Engineering, and participating in hockey at the highest level of competition. I take pride in my work ethic, dedication to the game and my team, and my performance in the classroom as well as on the ice. I am very supportive of all of my teammates, no matter what the circumstances, they are my brothers, and while brothers may fight from time to time, you always stick up for them and support them. I am looking forward to helping my future team in any way that I can on and off the ice. My experience in leadership positions throughout my athletic and academic career up until this point has taught me how to lead, and more importantly, how to follow. I was assistant captain for my HS team, I was a captain for my lacrosse team my junior and senior years of high school, and I was Field Commander for our marching band. I am a multi-sport athlete and a predominantly an honors and AP course level student so I know how to balance my time between class and sports. I have had a strong focus on my class work, grades, training, and my athletic performance, trying to put myself in the best possible position for college. Lastly, I grew up in a college town of Oxford, OH, the home of Miami University, and there the athletes are always giving back to the community. After receiving the kindness and help from all those great athletes before me, I would love to do the same in college and have done so in Juniors thus far.
