Personal Statement
My name is Drew Schemmel and I am a graduate of Centerville High school in the broadcasting management program. My goal is to go to a college that fits me and study sports management and business. I am committed to playing hockey at the highest level of competition.
I am currently taking college classes and hold a 4.0 GPA after one semester. My hockey experience includes over 100 games in the NA3HL for the Norwich Sea Captains and Northeast Generals. I was a leader on my teams in high school and juniors and feel I am capable of much more. I am a good candidate for your team because I am a coachable leader, that can produce results on the ice for a team.
Coaches have been characterized me as a great teammate and extremely hard worker. Junior hockey has taught me to give back to the community. I look forward to becoming a part of a college community and in gaining new experiences.
I am different from other recruits because I strive to get better every day and to be the best two way player that I can be. I can win faceoffs in every zone and can play in every situation. I have been taught to play a team game, and to battle hard in the tough areas, like the corners and in front of the net. I hope to speak with any interested coaches.
Thanks for taking the time to read this,
