Family. Honor. Respect.
These are the character traits that I live my life by. They translate to hockey as well.
Family: My teammates are my family and I work as hard as I can on and off the ice to make sure I'm the best version of myself. I don't ever want to let my team down by not giving my complete effort in a practice, workout, or game. By always giving my all, I hope to make those around me better as well.
Honor: I do my best to live my life in an honorable way by being open and transparent, working hard to become a better student athlete, surrounding myself with people who make me a better version of myself, and being accountable to myself and most importantly, to my team.
Respect: I respect my coaches, my teammates, and the volunteers that work with us season after season. I make sure they know that I appreciate all that they do for us as a team as well as for me personally. I have tremendous respect for my opponents as well. I respect the rules of the game and my team's code of conduct and apply those in my day to day activities.
My goal is to play at the highest level of hockey possible while pursuing my education after high school. I am a defensive defenseman that takes pride in keeping my zone clear of pucks, making accurate and timely first passes, and playing a physical brand of hockey in all zones. I especially embrace the task of being tough with, and shutting down the opponents top players. This season I've been focusing more on my offensive zone play and I'm seeing results from that work.
Consistently one of the first players to arrive and one of the last to leave, I enjoy my time spent with teammates as these are friends that I'll have for life.
