Personal Statement
I believe that character is the most important trait, not only for athletes, but for people in general. If you were to ask my coaches, teachers, bosses, family and friends they would tell you not only do I strive for perfection in everything I do, I have a tremendous character to back it up. I have a relentless work ethic on and off the ice. I have made high honors both my freshman and sophomore years in high school, and scheduled a rigorous course load for my junior and senior years. I have maintained a 3.3 GPA through the past three years and am continuing to challenge myself in the classroom by taking AP and honors classes.
As for on the ice, I have played varsity all three years of high school, was the MVP of my team my junior year, was an assistant captain as a junior, and have been chosen to be the captain for my senior year. For the past two years I have played AAA hockey with the Philadelphia Junior Flyers at the Midget U16 National Level. Last season I was chosen to be the captain of my team. I more than doubled my points in both the AYHL and the T1EHL this past season. For the upcoming season I am playing with the Junior Flyers U18 AAA team.
It has been a lifelong dream of mine to play college hockey. I believe I have the skill, leadership qualities, work ethic, and most importantly the character to not only play, but thrive in college, on and off the ice.
