Ever since I was 5 years old, I fell in love with hockey. It has been my life for over 13 years now, and I am more than excited to see what the future will bring. I have a huge passion for the sport of hockey, and I always find ways to make myself better. I was born in Russia, and I moved to America at the age of 12. Being taught how to play in Russia gave me an advantage over most North American players because I was taught how to skate every day by retired professional players. Skating is my key component to my game. I am a very efficient skater, and I always feel confident on the ice. I also see the ice very well, and I am good at anticipating what the opponent is going to do next.
In the past season I was the 10th defenseman for points in the USPHL U-18 league, and I was the only defenseman from my team that made the USPHL All-Star team. I practiced every day in the morning on the ice, and my team had 3 practices a week. Between practices I went to the gym to strengthen my body, and I have gained over 15 pounds of muscle in the last year. In the second half of the season, I practiced with the Islanders Junior A team, and that also helped me out and gave me a taste of Junior hockey.
This upcoming season I will be playing for Boston Jr. Rangers, which is a Junior A team in the EHL. My goal this year is to improve as much as I can, and get an offer to play collegiate hockey. I am practicing off the ice 6 days a week, and I am skating at least 3 times a week. I love and have the biggest passion for the sport of hockey, and I will do all that it takes to get an offer in the near future.
P.S. My video is very outdated, because I didn't have anyone to record our games. I have matured a lot mentally and physically since the time I uploaded the video.
