Personal Statement
I started playing hockey 11 years ago in a roller hockey league and have enjoyed it ever since. My coaches at the time took notice to my speed and recommended I try the ice. I took to it immediately. Some of the highlights of my hockey journey so far include a gold medal win in CAN/AM in 2013 and in the same year winning the championship on my middle school team. In addition I have won championships in both JV and Varsity for my high school for the 2015-2016 season, both wins being shut outs which made them extra special for me being a defensemen. The next step for me would be helping my team this year and repeat a Varsity win for the PCL Championship for my senior year
Some of my best qualities are the ability to listen to my coaches and try to learn as much about the game as I can. I always try to make myself, as well as my teammates, better players. College is the next step where I can continue to play the game I love as well as get an education. I know I am a quality defensemen who would be an asset to any team. I currently practice with the Temple Owls who are a D1 team and I get better with every practice. My speed and stamina as well as the way I analyze the game will be a benefit day in and day out. I have a great sense of humor and wish to study criminology in college. I believe what separates me from others is my ability to be coached and to improve on mistakes. I look forward to speaking to any recruiters or coaches who will take the time to give me an opportunity and I Thank You in advance.
