Nicholas Ferrucci '18 Recruiting Profile

My primary collegiate goal is to attend a four year university or college to study the field of engineering. Also, it is extremely important to me to continue my hockey career in college. My dream is to play Division I hockey and eventually play in a European, Canadian, or NHL league. I feel as though I am a  good candidate for any college team for many reasons. First, I have an exceptional work ethic. I am known for smiling at 4:30 a.m. practices and never complaining about when or where practice is held. I give 110% at every practice and look for opportunities to play extra games and tournaments. Understanding that there is always something to be learned, I invite constructive criticism and listen to my coaches and teammates. I take what my coaches say and make it a priority to improve. I thrive on pushing myself to my limits and beyond and want all of my coaches to do the same. Another reason I am a good candidate for any college team is that I am a team leader. I recognize the importance of a team and want to do whatever I can to make us better and like a family.

I have been playing hockey since I was 7 years old. I am dedicated to the sport and respect all of the people that have helped me along the way .  My parents have sacrificed so much for me to play and I am so thankful for them. I respect all of my coaches and value their expertise always. I have always been a defensive player and stay back, play the body, and when given the chance, rush the puck. Also, I am a smart player. I refuse to let my emotions get the best of me and focus on one thing - playing the game and winning. I take every opportunity to attend as many camps and clinics as possible to help me be the best I can be. Academically, I am a strong student. I am able to balance both my academics and hockey and manage to get good grades.
