Hello. My name is Brandon Caya and I have been playing the position of goalie ever since I was 4 years old. I am 185 lbs., 5'11, and I am very quick in the net. I have a very fast glove hand, and I have somewhat of my own hybrid style of goaltending, which involves a mix between the old school half butterfly style and the full butterfly style. I played 2 years of hockey for North Smithfield High School, where I received a 3rd team all-state award in my sophomore year, and a 2nd team all-state award in my junior year. High school became much to slow for me as I am now playing for the Providence Capitals U18 AAA full season midget team. I always strive to offer teams great goaltending and a hard work ethic that usually carries over to my teammates. Also, I'm always cheering on my team, and I will go so far as to always opening the defencemen's bench door when I am not playing. I am very ambitious, and I am always the first one to the rink, as well as always the first one dressed. I want to play college hockey and major in the marine biology field, and I am more than willing to play some years in juniors. I am also willing to go anywhere for school if it means a chance to succeed in a future hockey career or job. I am looking for a big school to attend, for I would like to attend a D3 or D1 college. I was considering the Universtiy of Connecticut among other schools. I would like the school I do attend to have a good marine biology department in conjunction with a good hockey team. I would greatly enjoy playing as a freshmen and working my way up. Also, I want to try my best to play to the highest skill level i possibly can.
