Carter Kirk '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing hockey since I was 4 yrs old. This game has taught me discipline, respect and how to handle success and failures on and off the ice. It is more than a game of winning and losing, hockey has taught me some of the most important lessons about life and what it means to be a leader, a teammate, and an athlete. This game has allowed me to grow and mature on and off the ice and has taught me to be successful academically by applying hard work, dedication, and discipline to both. 

Being a team leader is one that I strive for and it goes beyond the scoreboard. I pride myself on doing the little things all the time, the things behind the scenes that make me a good teammate by looking deeper into the game and anticipating what is coming with my knowledge of the game, my speed, and agility. Over my years of playing I have been known to be the playmaker by setting my teammates up for scoring opportunity and team success, while maintaining my own abilities in the game.

I am interested in continuing my passion and dedication to the game long after high school. I am undecided on what I want to study in college but with the knowledge and experiences I have gained, I am confident that I can be a successful student and athlete that will contribute to any school.
