Personal Statement
My name is Luke LeBlanc, and its hard to remember a time when I didn't love playing hockey. My first season of travel hockey was my Squirt Major season, and we won the League Championship. That season put a spark in my heart for hockey that still burns today. Since then, I played with the Texas Tornado U14 AAA team as a Bantam Major, and in my first Midget year, played at the U18 AA level, which I have played for fours years. I also lettered as a freshman on the McKinney high school varsity team while earning a starting defenseman role as a sophomore, and maintained that starting role through my Senior year, while also being named captain my Senior year. My greatest achievement so far is winning the Texas State Blended High School Championship and qualifying for the USA Hockey National High School Tournament. Playing hockey has allowed me to play in and see such great American cities such as Blaine, MN, Troy, MI, Colorado Springs and Denver, CO, as well as Chicago, Detroit, and St. Louis. I hope to utilize my love and passion for the great game of hockey to extend my education beyond high school and attain a Business Degree. I plan to own my own business.
