Personal Statement
As long as I've remembered I've wanted to be a goalie in the NHL, some of my heroes include Tim Thomas, and Jimmy Howard, not because they were as good as they were, but for how hard they had to work to get where they had to go. For me, hard work is an important component in how I play hockey. Many coaches have noted this about me, and I take pride in it, always looking to come off the ice knowing that I couldn't have given any more than I did. From my teammates perspective, I'm seen as very charismatic, having good locker room chemistry with a great many of my teammates while also having a clear motivation to win every game I'm a part of. As an athlete, I'm known for having a great deal of strength from the years I've spent training on and off the ice. Finally, as a student, I'm seen by both my peers and teachers as a being very intelligent, having an affinity for most subjects I take, while boasting a weighted 3.86 GPA average. I have been able to succeed at every level I've played at from my first win on a Junior program this year to way back when I backstopped a team to sectionals.
