Personal Statement
My name is Nathan Gaboriault. I spent my whole life in the small state of Vermont with both of my parents and sister. I have played competitive hockey since I was 10 years old. I am playing hockey for the East Coast Spartans this year because I think it will help me advance in hockey. I consider myself an all-around hockey player. I will play more offensively when I see a chance, but I will play more defensive first. I am working on my hockey all year. Even in the off season I am in the gym or doing something else to improve my game.
I do well in school. I get A’s and B’s giving me a 3.55 GPA when I graduated high school so I made honor roll every quarter. I hope to use hockey to help get my education, as I would like to go into a Pre-Physical Therapy program, Athletic Training, or Exercise Science, but I would consider an engineering program.
I give back to the community through Coalition for Community Service (CCS). This club at my school presents opportunities volunteer in the community. Because of this, I had 36 volunteer hours total.
I am looking for a college that will challenge me academically and with hockey. In terms of location or population, I don’t really have a preference. The school that I choose has to be the right fit for me by academics and hockey wise.
