Hard work is a word that you can use to describe me. I believe that I am a very hard worker in everything I do. I will do everything 100%. When you speak to my coaches and teachers they will say that I am the most teachable and coachable student athlete that you will find.
I really started to pursue my goal in wanting to play college hockey before my junior year. Before my junior year I did a number of hockey camps and participated in a few tryouts. I did the Midget Festival tryout for Wisconsin high school players. I made it to the Central Districts. Later on I tried out for the Team Wisconsin AAA team, but did not make the roster. In June of 2015 I was invited to try out for the Topeka Road Runners of the NAHL. These tryouts really got my name out there and gave me confidence about my hockey skills and my career. I finished my Senior year of hockey playing for my high school team in Menomonie, WI.
In the four years of playing hockey for my school it gave me the opportunity to work hard on and off the ice. In the four years we finished in the top five in the conference out of seven team and was third in the conference in 2014-2015 regular season. As a program we stepped in a right direction of a winning program. I am a three sport athlete in Hockey, Football, and Baseball. Varsity starter in all. My Junior and Senior year I focused a lot more on hockey. I participate in FCA and 4-H.
I push myself to become a better hockey player everyday on and off the ice and in the classroom. My hard work in both areas will help me accomplish my dreams in playing college hockey. It takes a lot of skill to balance out sports and school, but I know that hard work will help me get to the next level.
