My name is Josh Sherman and I will be a senior lacrosse player at Torrey Pines High School in San Diego, CA. Lacrosse has been my passion since the 4th grade. I have been very lucky to have had some of the greatest players in the game mentoring me since a very young age. One of those players is Michael Watson (UVA 94-97 - Hall of Fame 2013). Not only did he teach me the technical skills of how to play the game, but more importantly, he taught me to never give up on the field. Coach Watson also taught me to be the best off-ball player I could be and to utilize my on field IQ to get into the best position to score a goal or make the assist.
I have played on the National 3D team in the Elite Eight Tournament in Baltimore coached by Zack Burke and Matt Rowley. I also played on the 3D Select SOCAL Team that played in the FLG in Baltimore and the Sandstorm Tournament in Palm Springs also coached by Coach Burke. We won that tournament winning all seven games we played; It was a great team effort. I also played for the Adrenaline RC Starz Carolina team in Las Vegas and Del Mar tournaments. I started at attack for coach Jono Zissi in my sophomore year at Torrey. I was selected to attend Jake Reed Nike Blue Chip and recently played in the 3D FLG tournament in Baltimore and had 12 assists and 4 goals in 5 games. I was selected to the tournament All Star Team. I had an assist in that game. I also was selected to play on the 3D Select All Pacific Team for the UP Lax tournament Maryland.
I have been a starter on the Torrey Pines High School team for the last two seasons. I have a very prodcutive year and I'm proud that I was the recipient of the 2015 Coaches award for oustanding player and teamate.
I'm a lefty attackman and I primarily play the role of a feeder and finisher, I pride myself on being a very unselfish player on the field and I think my coaches would tell you the same thing. I really like making my teammates look good on the field and will always give you 150% effort. I’m continuing to work out really hard on my physical strength and all parts of my game. I do cross-fit and weight training 5 times per week. I know my game is continuing to improve and when U graduate in 2016 I will be even better. I know I have ability and mental toughness to contribute to your team.
My passion and goal is winning and being an important part of a winning team
I'M THE STUDENT ATHLETE YOU WANT TO COACH!!!!
