Personal Statement

I would like to find a college that suits me as a person and a lacrosse player.  The ideal college will be a place with a challenging academic curriculum, but one that recognizes the benefits, and demands, that college level sports places on it's athletes.  I want to really feel part of something bigger than me and just the game of lacrosse. I want to be part of a dynamic team, and work with a coach, that can mold me to be the best player, teammate, and person that I can be.  I have always given 110% on the field and am willing to work extremely hard to be successful as an athlete, teammate, leader, and student to realize my full potential by pushing myself to the very limits of my ability. I am dedicated to achieving my personal own goals as well as those of the team and the college I represent. As a student athlete I will proudly represent my school, both on and off the field.  As a proud alumni I will continue to represent my college and support the lacrosse team, all athletics and the college overall.  My high school lacrosse career has taken a unique path and I have played with three different high school programs in the last 3 years.  While difficult at times, this has enabled me to adapt quickly to new environments, coaching styles, teammates and overall approaches to the game of lacrosse.  Ultimately I know I am a better player and person because of it and I believe this has afforded me the opportunity to work with many wonderful people and ultimately improve my own performance, both on and off the field. I look forward to attending a college that enables me to meet my full potential as a student, and athlete, while encouraging me to develop my own unique style of play and embrace me as a person on the team.  I sincerely welcome the opportunity to engage in the recruitment process and achieve my goal of playing college lacrosse with a group of like-minded teammates, coaches and support staff.
