I would like to continue to play the sport that I love at the collegiate level. Since the first time that I picked up a lacrosse stick with a helmet that was too big for my head and a jersey that was past my knees, I knew that I had found my passion. Although I was active in several other sports including soccer, basketball, football and baseball and enjoyed the different athletic components, I always found myself most excited when the lacrosse season rolled around. This love eventually transitioned my interest in joining a competitive club program that would not only allow me the ability to play year-around and travel, but also push me to increase my overall fitness, improve my lax IQ, create the discipline needed to balance competing priorities, and build resiliency to stay focused and positive in light of challenges. My experiences to date have taught me leadership skills and created lifelong friendships with teammates and coaches.
I think I am a great candidate for any team because I am the ultimate team player. This game has never been about me being the star and getting the best stats, this game is much, much more. Lacrosse has been about building a brotherhood that wins and loses as a team. I have always been just as excited for my teammates to shine, as myself, when I have a great game. On the field, I am supportive and easy going, but I also have the ability to lead and build up those around me. I am not the loudest, but I am the quiet friend in the background that is friends with everyone and know who needs a nudge. I believe that all of my coaches would echo these statements and confirm that I am very coachable with a consistent focus on getting better and serving the team.
I am different from other recruits in that I am a bit more reserved, but I bring consistency, strategy, and discipline to my game. I am a confident player that is patient, reliable and will take action for the success of the team - It is not just about me. I think these unique skills make me an ideal attack player taking X. I am a strong athlete who strives to improve in speed, agility, sports IQ and skick skill. My size also plays to my atvantage, since I can properly and effectively use my size to maneuver against large defensive players. I strive for constant excellence and improvement on the field, but also in the class room.
