Personal Statement
Ground balls, one of the most fundamental and influential parts of any lacrosse game, require two things: Heart and Technique. Both of these things can be obtained through hard work and a pursuit of perfection. I come to practice every day and I still want more. There seems to not be enough time in the day to work on my footwork, or focus on timing my checks just perfectly to the offender's dodge. I am hungry, but winning games does not happen when only one person wants it. Giving encouragement and advice to my teammates in order to make the whole team achieve success is essential to moving the team forward. I put the same type of energy and willingness to succeed in the classroom. Science and math classes have always been my strength and I hope to have an Engineering degree within 4 years of entering college. In order to achieve this goal, I will need to persevere and move forward as I have done my entire life playing lacrosse.
