Personal Statement
(RE-CLASSING AS 2018 AT SALISBURY SCHOOL FOR 2015/2016 SCHOOL YR) I am a self-motivated student-athlete that wants to be the best at whatever I’m doing. I have 7 years of playing experience and began my career as a D-Pole through the Spring of 8th grade when my coaches asked me to ‘try’ the Attack position. After one Varsity Lacrosse Season and one Summer of playing attack, this Fall my Coaches have converted me, yet again, to Midfield because of my strong offensive and defensive talents. As a result, I have developed a high lacrosse IQ that shows when I play. I am a firm believer in the saying “Hard work pays off” which motivates me to spend countless hours shooting, hitting the wall, lifting weights, running, and eating healthy. My hard work is paying off. As a Freshman, I made the Varsity Lacrosse Team and started the entire season at our 8A high school and went on to make 1st Team All-Metro – Attack. Last summer my hard work also was rewarded having made the 2017 All-Star Teams (Attackman) at all 3 Summer events that I played in: Battle of Hotbeds, The Gait Cup, and Brine Nationals. I see myself being a valuable player because of my ability to play tough defense and my ability to create shots for others and myself. I am a unique individual and I have been called a “natural leader” all my life. I’m looking to join a program in college where my hard work, determination, and understanding of the game can be a benefit to the program and help them strive to be the best – like I do.
