Personal Statement
My name is Benjamin Schuyler Westbrook. I attend Sussex Technical High School in Georgetown, Delaware and will be an upcoming senior for the 2017-18 school year. I have played lacrosse for a little over 7 years now and have loved every minute my stick has been in my hand. I used to race BMX and was a mentor for the younger riders on our team. I want to focus on lacrosse as my main sport, and use BMX as a way to condition and strengthen myself. I am focused, driven and competitive, both on and off the field.
My academic career at Sussex Tech has been pretty good in my opinion. This year, I've made student of the quarter for the first quarter. I also have made honor roll many times. Currently, I am in the top 18% of my class.
College is a huge goal of mine. My parents push me in school to get the best grades I can so I can get into a good college. I want to focus on my major which is Music Production, while also striving to be a great lacrosse player. My lacrosse career and my major are both equally important so I know I will have to stay focused throughout college. I believe that with my attitude to succeed coupled with my willingness to help others, I will make a great addition to a college lacrosse program.
