Personal Statement
Sports have always been a huge part of my life. I have been playing soccer since age five, and continue to do so to this day. In the 6th grade, I picked up football, and then lacrosse in 8th. My experience has been different from that of the average high school student, as I balance a rigorous academic life with a full time commitment to three sports. I attend Pine View School for the Gifted, which is ranked 24th on the national academic scale; it challenges me to pursue excellence along my academic track, and has provided an enriching environment. I have maintained a 4.0 un-weighted GPA, and have been inducted into multiple honor societies as a direct result of my academic achievements. With Pine View as my academic footing. I found an athletic home in Riverview High School, as PV does not offer sports. Fitting in at Riverview was facilitated by the strong sense of team that developed in each sport. I currently play varsity lacrosse, football, and soccer for Riverview, and have enjoyed excelling alongside my teammates under the coaches there. During my lacrosse career, I have attended many showcases, getting to know players and coaches from across the country, and relishing the opportunity to hit the field. I strive to achieve my goal of playing lacrosse at the collegiate level, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in this exciting process.
