I work hard in school and on the field, always looking for ways I can improve individually and contribute to the team or classroom and enjoy tackling new challenges. I am proud that I have achieved a class rank of 9th out of 728 students (weighted) or 1st out of 728 (unweighted) and was selected as one of only 26 students to join the AP Capstone Diploma Program being piloted at Lake Mary High School. I will have completed 6 AP classes by the end of this sophomore year.
I am equally proud of having been the only freshman to play with varsity in our 2015 season on a team that went to the Final Four in States and to have moved up to full-time varsity this sophomore season. My coaches praise me for my athleticism, character, commitment, and interest in learning and call me a work-horse. I am flexible where I play on the field, whether midfield or attack. I thrive on playing tough defense on clears, rides, and the defensive end of the field. I use my speed and am aggressive at getting ground balls. I love the sport of lacrosse and have been working as a referee for youth lacrosse games and helping to coach.
I want to continue my family’s tradition of playing collegiate sports by becoming an impact player on a competitive college team, while pursuing a top education at a prestigious academic institution. My parents were both varsity athletes at Yale, where my mom captained the women’s lacrosse team and my dad played football and baseball, and they each attended business school at Harvard and Duke, respectively.
